Update: BlueStacks Player for Windows has been updated to Beta version and now supports thousands of Android apps. Download now.

What was teased for several months is now available for download. BlueStacks, a free player that lets you load and run Android apps on a Windows PC is out. That means you can play your favorite games on desktop that too in full screen mode. Start BlueStack-ing now.

The app now in alpha comes pre-loaded with 10 apps with an option to install upto 26 apps be it games or other utility apps. The pre-loaded apps includes popular Android apps like Pulse reader, Bloomberg, Words, Talking Tom 2 etc. Download and install the BlueStacks app player for Windows to start playing apps on netbooks, tablets, desktops and laptops. But note that you should not expect the same performance on netbooks and tablets like what you would get on a desktop.

BlueStacks also lets you push apps from your Android phones to PC using a service called Cloud Connect. To add more apps and access Cloud Connect head over to this page and get the phone PIN. Now download and install BlueSTacks Cloud Connect Android app [link]. Punch in the phone PIN to start pushing apps to BlueStacks player on your Windows PC.
