Now that Facebook Timeline feature has been rolled out worldwide, users are busy tweaking it before the 7 day trial period ends possibly to hide their shady past ( 😀 ). Talking about Facebook Timeline the one feature that stands out is the cover photo option. Any photo from your Facebook album can be set Facebook Timeline cover photo that stays on top. That being said if you want to spice up your Timeline cover photo by adding cool collage, color or filter effects then this third-party Facebook app can be handy.

SiteCanvas is a Facebook app that lets you easily create custom Facebook Timeline cover photos. While on SiteCanvas just hit ‘Get Started’ to grant access to your Facebook account and to create a custom Facebook cover photo in no time. This Facebook app provides three options for creating custom covers, one with ‘Photos And Name’, ‘Your Name’ and ‘Your Photos’. With many photo effects available you can create stunning cover with photos already available in Facebook album. Add name to your photo or create cover with just photos and filters. Select photo effects or filters from top of the page and hit ‘Make My Cover’. Note that once after selecting a photo effect you can always click ‘Remix Photos’ as SiteCanvas pulls random photos from your Facebook album. Once done you will be taken to Facebook home page from where you should set the custom-made cover photo from your album.

To set the custom made photo using SiteCanvas as your cover head over to your Facebook page. Hover over the already existing cover photo to find the ‘Change Cover’ tab towards right side. Click to select ‘Choose from Photos…’ and you will find the custom made cover photo there. Select that photo and you are good to go.

    We actually put together a set of our favorite travel photos for people to download & use (for free) if they want to feature them on their timelines: Fun to pick our favorite destinations to feature & I think it’s a nice touch for the timeline to have a cool panorama of a place you love.
