Finally India gets the much-needed recognition on Twitter. Twitter Inc. has updated their trending topics space by adding many new countries including India. With this update users from India and many other countries can see what’s trending locally in their country. It was a much needed change as we started seeing topics from India trending on Twitter regularly. The social networking users in India is growing rapidly and Twitter plays a vital role in promoting the same.

The Twitter trending topics now includes countries like Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands,Singapore, Spain and Venezuela. Another update from Twitter now includes Google Translate on details pane so if you read a tweet in another language, a translated version will also appear.
Now lets wait for Twitter Inc. to roll out city wise trending topics like for Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai etc

Feels good to be back after long time and seeing “INDIA” added to the trending topic algorithm. The credit must go to all the Indian Tweeters who are controlling the Social media with their tweets.
I am also waiting for Indian cities to be included in the Twitter Trending Topic Algorithm.
