We had covered a trick on how to make unlimited free phone calls to mobile and landline phones in USA and Canada. Read that here. Now an Australian based VoIP service provider PennyTel is here to spread joy and happiness among their new and existing users. As a promotional offer they are providing 10 million minutes of free calls to phones in Australia, Canada, China, India, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and the USA. All you have to do is head over to their promo page and punch in  your email ID. This offer is valid from 1st December 2010 to 8th January 2011 and ends when 10,000,000 free minutes have been used up.

Free VoIP Calls

After you enter email, they will send you all details which can then be used to login to your account. To make free calls you can either use official PennyTel iPhone app, Softphone or your landline. Mobile phone users can use Fring which is available for all major platforms. If you are using Windows PC then Nimbuzz can do the job.

How to make free PC to Phone Calls using Pennytel [Windows]  :

  1. Download Nimbuzz desktop client and install
  2. Register an account with Nimbuzz and login
  3. Add Pennytel SIP account by heading to Tools> Options
  4. Select Call services
  5. Select SIP Provider (other)
  6. Username : Pennytel username (check mail)
  7. Password : Pennytel Password
  8. For Proxy and Domain : sip.pennytel.com
  9. Save it
  10. Dial the required number from Nimbuzz for FREE!

PS : The free minutes are valid only for calls made to landlines (excluding calls to special numbers) in Australia, New Zealand & the UK, and calls made to landlines and mobiles in Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore & the USA.

Yes, you can make free calls from PennyTel’s web interface or Nimbuzz desktop client.
