Update: Get the latest Google Music 4.0.1 app from here. Also read this post on how to by-pass geo-restriction to create and access Google Music outside the US.

Google music service was unveiled recently which is expected to catch up and pose a serious threat to some other providers including Amazon and Apple’s own music services. But as of now Google Music service labelled Beta is available only to the US users and people outside US just can’t access this service.

Google Music service can be accessed via desktop and Android phones with apps available for both. If you don’t have patience then go ahead and install Google Music Android app that has been extracted from Marketplace to bypass geo restriction. Also follow this post on how to create a Google Music account if you live outside USA. Now follow the steps below to download and install Google Music .apk app as a third-party application on your phone.

I tried the app, though it shows me my own library than the songs I’ve uploaded to Google Music. I don’t see any option in the sync settings to sync the music. (They actually say there’s no syncing involved). Though I can’t see them. How long does it take for them to appear in my music app on android? I uploaded a few songs from PC.

All songs uploaded from PC should be reflected instantly on Android app too. If you have installed an older version of Google Music for Android I suggest you remove that and try installing the latest version (link above). Let me know.

I get the same problem, I’m a user from Portugal. To get google music, I had to change my pc proxy, and to get the app, I used this site. But I can’t sync the musics from the cloud to my google music app :/
