Free USB Tether Tool to Share, Monitor Wireless Internet Between BlackBerry Phone & Windows OS

Tether BlackBerry

With the advancements in communication we now have high-speed mobile broadband internet capable of streaming HD video content and feeding other network hungry apps tirelessly. That doesn’t end there. The mobile phone users are finding new way to capitalise on this high bandwidth to the fullest by tethering with desktops. Here is one such free tether app for BlackBerry.

Tethering is a method to share the Internet connection of an Internet-capable mobile phone. This sharing can be via cable, or wirelessly over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Fixmo Extend is a free tethering tool available for BlackBerry OS that lets you share mobile internet over USB data cables to desktops running Windows OS. Unlike other free and paid tether tools available for BlackBerry phones including RIM’s Desktop Manager, Fixmo Extend provides a desktop tool for you to monitor data transfers and limit it if needed. The desktop app also displays intuitive charts and metrics that helps you in monitoring data usage.

Fixmo Extend requires a phone running BlackBerry OS 4.6 or greater and BlackBerry Desktop Software on your Windows PC. What it does provide is an alternate interface  with more visibility and control.
